Web & iOS targets

For the complete documentation index, see llms.txt

Studio bundles both runners, so one app tests web and iOS apps. Switch between them with the TEST TARGET control at the bottom-left of the window; each target has its own scenarios, runs, and settings.

Web

Works on any OS. Drives your system Chrome or Edge. This is the default target.

iOS (macOS only)

iOS tests run through the iOS Simulator, which is Apple-licensed and only runs on macOS. On Windows or Linux the iOS target still appears in the switcher but is disabled, with a one-line note explaining why — so it’s clear the option exists and what it needs.

Setting it up

Studio bundles the iOS runner, but it can’t bundle Apple’s tools. On macOS, select the iOS target and studio shows a setup panel with a Check button. It verifies your environment — the Xcode command-line tools, simctl, and at least one installed simulator — and tells you exactly what’s missing and how to fix it. When the checks pass, point studio at your .app build and run.
